Storyline
A Portland couple have two children with Pompe disease, a genetic anomaly that kills before a child's tenth birthday. The husband, John, who's in advertising, contacts Robert Stonehill, a researcher who has a theory on an enzyme treatment. He has little money to pursue his research, and a thorny personality that drives away colleagues and funders. John and his wife Aileen raise money for to get Stonehill going, then John takes on the task full time, working with venture capitalists and then a rival team of researchers. Time is passing, Stonehill's antics get in the way, and the profit motive may upend John's hopes. Can the researchers succeed in time for the Crowley's. Written by

You probably love watching movies. They can be very funny, sad, imaginative, inspiring, and so much more! There are so many possibilities and so many great movies to watch with family, and friends.
The big task of making a movie usually begins with a script (written by a screenwriter) that gets purchased by a movie studio or a producer. The producer is the person who is responsible for coordinating aspects of the film like the budget and scheduling. The producer plans out how the movie project will be made and usually starts by hiring a director.
In the making of a movie, the director’s job is to bring the script to life on camera. The director will usually identify themes or feelings that he or she wants the movie to convey to its audience and will then assemble all the other's who will be needed, such as costume designers, makeup artists, special effects, set designers or location scouts, stuntmen, cameramen, cinematographers (who supervise and instruct the cameramen), and, of course, actors.
Next, shooting the film begins! The actual filming can be a very slow process, often a director will want to get several “takes” or (versions) of a scene or moment and usually only the equivalent of a few minutes of the movie are finished in one full day’s work. Scenes are also usually not shot in order, so once filming is completed, the director must then work with editors to piece them all together, deciding which takes to use and adding in any special effects or touch-ups.
The entire process from acquiring the script to editing the scenes generally takes months or even years! Once the film is ready, the finished movie is then distributed to many movie theatres so it can be watched and enjoyed by people like me and you.
